Why my Tuya solar camera frequently goes offline?

1. Check power supply

Our solar cameras rely on solar panels and built-in batteries. Long rainy or cloudy days will lead to low battery, causing the camera to automatically go offline. Place the solar panel in direct sunlight for 4-6 hours to fully charge the device.

2. Inspect network signal

- WiFi version: Tuya cameras only support 2.4GHz WiFi. 5GHz WiFi cannot be identified. Keep the camera within 10 meters of your router and remove signal barriers like walls and metal objects.

- 4G SIM version: Confirm your SIM card supports local network bands in your country. Check signal bars on the camera screen; weak SIM signal leads to unstable online status. Replace a local telecom operator SIM if needed.

3. Reset and re-pair the device

Long press the reset button on the camera for 8 seconds until you hear a prompt tone. Open Tuya Smart / Smart Life App, delete the old offline device, then scan the QR code to add the camera again.

4. Clear App cache or switch network

If you log in the app abroad, switch your mobile phone to local cellular data instead of public WiFi. Clear the cache of Tuya App in your phone settings, or reinstall the app to fix loading failures.

5. Contact our support
